On July 27-28, representatives of the Department of Strategic Development and Investment participated in the 2nd online module "Attracting additional resources for local development. State regional development fund, grant programs, investments", which took place within the framework of the project "Local Economic Development Schools for Territorial Communities" (hereinafter - the MER School), conducted by the NGO "Eidos Center" with the support of the Representative Office of the "Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom" in Ukraine and belarus.
Currently, more than a thousand territorial communities have been formed in Ukraine, of which 487 appeared only last year, one of which is the Rivne City Territorial Community. Objectively, newly formed communities face new rules of the game and the need to attract additional resources. Officials of territorial communities need new knowledge and skills in order to effectively manage the community and be able to attract additional funding, therefore, participation in this project will not only improve their own competencies, but also form a system for attracting investments in the development of the territorial community.
We would like to remind you that in June Rivne urban territorial community passed a competitive selection for participation in the project "Schools of local economic development for territorial communities". The program is designed for 6 months, where 3 modules await the participants, each of which will last a week and will consist of 3 lectures and a practical task that the teams perform using the lecturers' advice. At the end, the participants will have a final offline event with the involvement of business representatives, the purpose of which will be the presentation of the investment opportunities of the territorial community and the establishment of dialogue and cooperation.
The team of the Rivne City Territorial Community consists of Volodymyr Lypko, Head of the City Economy Department, Member of the Rivne City Council, Natalia Mayorova, Member of the Standing Committee on Budget, Finance and Communal Property Management, Mykhailo Basyuk, Head of the Department of Strategic Development and Investment.
