Representatives of the Department took part in the meeting of the Intercity Working Group to present the updated initiative

Today, June 22, a meeting of the Intercity Working Group was held on the topic "The Platform of the Intercity Working Group as a tool for effective communication between the authorities and business, aimed at improving the business climate of the community."
Representatives of the Department of Strategic Development and Investment of the Department of Economic Development and another 127 participants from different cities of Ukraine took part in the meeting. These are representatives of business organizations, local self-government bodies, regional military-civilian administrations.
During the meeting, the regional competitiveness advisor of the USAID KEU Program, Arseniy Polozhy, presented the updated initiative.
The speaker was Alla Pohonets, an expert on local self-government, who presented the updated platform of the Intercity Working Group on Improving the Business Environment to the audience. Ms. Alla also explained that the platform is a tool for building a dialogue between business and local self-government bodies and sharing best practices, and also explained how this tool can be used by communities and businesses.
The specifics of creating Road Maps for participating cities at the previous stages of the initiative were also announced at the meeting.
Yulia Zhuravlyova, a representative of the Chernihiv City Council, shared her practical experience of implementing the Road Map in Chernihiv. She spoke in detail about the stages of work and preparation for the implementation of the Roadmap.
During the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of the communication component and discussed strategies to strengthen the capacity of local anti-corruption units.
