The Barrier Free Advisory Committee has started activity in the Rivne hromada

Employees of the Department for Strategic Development and Investments joined the work of the Barrier Free Advisory Committee of the Rivne City Territorial Hromada under the Mayor.
During the first meeting on Thursday, a decision was made to develop a strategic document on creating a barrier-free space in the hromada (community).
In general, the Council will work in the following priority directions regarding barrier-free accessibility: informational, civil, digital, social, physical, economic, educational.
By the way, the barrier-free advisory committee unites representatives of executive brunches of the city council, business, expert communities and non-business associations, institutions and organizations representing various social groups of the hromada (community): residents with limited mobility, internally displaced persons, war veterans, youth, elderly people, etc.
"One of the main tasks for the Barrier Free Advisory Committee will be a comprehensive analysis of the existing situation regarding ensuring equal access to all groups of hromada (community) residents to transport, information and communication, technologies and systems, to various facilities and services. As the management of strategic development and investments, we will also analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of these tasks in the documents on the strategic development of the hromada (community) in terms of creating a barrier-free environment. I would also like to note that it is important to work out a plan of measures for barrier-free accessibility, which will really be implemented, and not just a document lying on the table", – said the head of the department, Volodymyr Muliar.
