Meeting of the Ukrainian-Lithuanian Business Council

A meeting of the Ukrainian-Lithuanian Council was recently held, in which representatives of the Department of Strategic Development and Investment of the Department of Economic Development of the Rivne City Council took part.
Speakers of the meeting were Petro Beshta, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania, Valdemaras Sarapinas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine, who spoke about the current trends and prospects of Ukrainian-Lithuanian trade, economic, industrial, and investment cooperation.
During the meeting, representatives of the Ukrainian side (representatives of central authorities and local self-government) were heard, who spoke about the needs of Ukraine in the reconstruction of social and educational infrastructure, which can be carried out before the end of the war, and there was also a presentation of Ukrainian-Lithuanian projects that are already being implemented on territories of the Kyiv region (housing for displaced persons, reconstruction of a school and a kindergarten).
Prospects of future Ukrainian-Lithuanian interregional cooperation were discussed, in particular, regarding the construction of a rehabilitation center for war veterans, which can be implemented at the level of twin cities of Fastiv-Druskininka.
The organizers of the meeting were the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (USPP), the Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists.
