Work is ongoing on energy efficiency measures at the Preschool Education Facility (Nursery-Kindergarten) of Compensatory Type (Special) No. 35. These efforts are part of a collaboration with the NEFCO corporation.
The building of this facility has long required major repairs and had low energy efficiency. Additionally, the institution serves children of internally displaced persons, children with special needs, and children with disabilities. Therefore, this facility was proposed for participation in the project to improve the conditions for these children.
Staff from the Department of Strategic Development and Investments of the Economic Development Department continue to coordinate the project (EU grant amounting to 1.56 million euros). Last year, representatives from the Capital Construction Department and the Education Department of the Rivne City Council also contributed to the project preparation.
The project "Reconstruction and Restoration of Municipal Infrastructure in Rivne to Support the Urgent Needs of Internally Displaced Persons" is being implemented with the financial support of the European Union, with NEFCO acting as the implementing organization, within the framework of the NIP Program "EU Support for the Urgent Needs of Housing for Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine."
