Rivne city territorial community received humanitarian aid from the city of Sindelfingen (Germany)

In order to quickly respond to the urgent needs of residents of the Rivne urban territorial community and IDPs, the Department of Strategic Development and Investments of the Department of Economic Development registered at the Cities4Cities online platform. It mad possible to establish friendly relations with the city of Sindelfingen (Germany).

On August 31, 2022, an Mayor the mayor of Rivne Oleksandr Tretyak and the mayor of Sindelfingen held an online meeting. It was also attended by the deputy mayor Ihor Krechkevich and representatives of the Department of Strategic Development and Investments of the Department of Economic Development. The mayor of Rivne shared the basic needs of the territorial community in the conditions of martial law, and the deputy mayor Ihor Krechkevich talked about the economic development of the community.
According to the results of the meeting and the establishment of friendly relations, it was possible to attract humanitarian aid from the city of Sindelfingen for the needs of the residents of the Rivne urban territorial community.

The organization of work on the receipt and distribution of humanitarian aid was carried out in accordance with the decision of the Rivne City Council dated November 23, 2022 No. 2753.

The Cities4Cities platform is designed to support Ukrainian cities in finding partners. The platform is a free online tool that allows local governments in Ukraine and other regions of Europe to share their needs and proposals related to urban infrastructure, as well as to establish direct links for cooperation to obtain practical assistance.
