The Mayor of Rivne Oleksandr Tretіak presented the project "Creating NetZero vision for Rivne" (which will be implemented with grant funding within the framework of the NetZeroCities Pilot Cities Program) at an international panel discussion within the UniCities Transition Lab Forum I. In his presentation, the mayor talked about the main achievements of Rivne in reducing CO2 emissions in recent years and the main measures implemented for this. The mayor also presented in detail the initiatives and results/indicators that are planned to be achieved as part of the implementation of the project "Creating NetZero vision for Rivne" (a detailed presentation of the project can be found in the attached file).
Among the speakers of the Forum were representatives of the European Commission, Spanish and Swedish innovative initiatives that take care of the "green" transition of cities, representatives of the government of Ukraine, Ukrainian cities, universities, companies and civil society organizations that mobilize efforts for climate-neutral and green reconstruction of Ukrainian cities.
