Employees of the Department of Strategic Development and Investment participated in the webinar "Civil Society in Action for the Vanishing Heritage of Ukraine"

The event was recently held under the joint initiative of OurWorldHeritage, Europa Nostra and the Global Heritage Fund.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity to highlight the chains of support and provide a joint exchange between civil society organizations and institutions/initiatives in Ukraine, to discuss specific ways of providing short- and medium-term support in their efforts to preserve heritage and culture in Ukraine, during the russian invasion of Ukraine.
In the context of war events, cultural heritage in Ukraine, as a carrier of the identity and memory of the people, is also under threat. Historical centers, museums and cultural institutions are attacked and destroyed, and artists, scientists and cultural workers are deeply affected by these terrible acts.
The meeting also aimed to raise awareness in solidarity with Ukrainian society, support crowdfunding campaigns such as the Europa Nostra and Global Heritage Fund initiatives, and highlight any other cultural and natural heritage initiatives to support the response to this crisis.
