A project on attracting grant funds for the integration of IDPs into the Rivne community has been submitted

As a result of Russia's brutal and unprovoked invasion of our country, 18,145 internally displaced persons, including 6,816 children, lived in the city of Rivne (the center of the Rivne urban territorial community) as of the beginning of July. Therefore, we must create support for the residents of Ukraine who were forced to leave their homes and find shelter in our city.

The Department of Strategic Development and Investment is working on writing grant projects, for the possibility of attracting additional funds to the Rivne community in order to implement measures for the integration of forcibly displaced persons. Thus, the administration together with the NGO "Historical Reconstruction Club "Ostvytsia" developed and submitted a project to the grant competition "Integration of internally displaced persons into life in new communities" held by the International Renaissance Fund.
If the project wins the competition, the main measures will be:
  • Information campaign of the project: development of visualization materials, their distribution and promotion among the target audience.
  • City picnic in Ostvytsia (which includes holding various master classes).
  • Implementation of the tree planting initiative (creation of the "Alley of Dreams") in the park area of the city of Rivne.
  • Project management.
Long-term results of the project:
  • Reduction of tension between Rivne urban territorial community and IDPs, risks of conflicts between them.
  • Development of social cohesion in the Rivne community.
  • Development of traditional folk culture, increasing interest in the work of master craftsmen.
  • Formation of an active life position in the target audience of the project, education of a citizen - a patriot of his country.
The total cost of the project is UAH 367,920. The implementation period is 3 months.
