On September 2-13, 2019, the city of Rivne was visited by a delegation of experts from NEFCO, Sweco and Garde. Experts worked on the project "Implementation of energy saving in institutions and establishments belonging to the municipal property of Rivne and modernization of street lighting". This project is planned to be implemented jointly with the Northern Environmental Finance Corporation NEFCO and a financial organization that will provide a grant for the project.
The project includes two components: the implementation of measures for thermal modernization and reconstruction of street lighting, which is quite energy efficient in terms of cost savings of the city budget.
Experts together with representatives of the city (Department of Strategic Development and Investment, Department of Housing and Communal Services, KP "Misksvitlo") worked on the component of street lighting. By signing a loan agreement with NEFCO, the city agrees to repay the loan, so it is advisable to implement the most energy efficient measures.
