Experts taught the basics of implementing energy management for energy sustainability

Over several days (December 12, 14 and 18), experts from the public organization "Ekoclub-Rivne" in a series of webinars told the participants, among whom were employees of the Office for Strategic Development and Investments, about the benefits of energy management for communities, levels of energy management, energy balance and the basic level of consumption of energy resources, energy monitoring as the main tool for the efficiency of the energy management system, investments in energy efficiency, financial instruments for the implementation of energy-efficient measures, attraction of extra-budgetary investments for the implementation of energy-efficient projects, etc.

The organizer of the online training is the GEF/UNDP project "Elimination of barriers to promote investments in the energy efficiency of public buildings in small and medium-sized cities of Ukraine by applying the ESCO mechanism" (with the support of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine).

It should be noted that the Russian Federation's constant attacks on the critical infrastructure of Ukraine, in particular, the energy sector, make all residents of the country to think even more about the importance of the wise use of energy resources. Energy management – a system of measures for efficient use of energy with maximum savings – its implementation will contribute to increasing the energy security of territorial communities.
